Responding to year’s 2018 theme of Freespace, the exhibition Another Generosity explores the relationship between nature and the built environment, and how new approaches to architecture can help shape a world that supports the symbiotic coexistence of both. It seeks to create a spatial experience which heightens our awareness of our surroundings. Moreover, it is an attempt to foster dialogue, debate and criticism to help reveal new ways we can shape our world with another generosity. A generosity not just between humans, but between humans and nature.

14th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia

Curated by the renowned Dutch architect and theorist Rem Koolhaas, the 14th International Architecture Exhibition – titled “Fundamentals” – returned to the timeless basics of architecture. The national pavilions explored global and local trends under the theme of “Absorbing Modernity: 1914–2014”.

Re-Creation. The Resilience of Architecture
The Finnish pavilion at the 2014 Venice Architecture Biennale featured a solo exhibition curated by the Museum of Finnish Architecture showcasing the work of OOPEAA Office for Peripheral Architecture.
Forms of Freedom. African independence and Nordic Models
The Nordic Pavilion at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition presented the exhibition "Forms of Freedom. African Independence and Nordic Models", showcasing Nordic Architects working in development projects in Eastern Africa 1960–1980. The exhibition was curated  and produced by the Norwegian National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design.

Light Houses – Young Nordic Architecture

The exhibition celebrated the jubilee of the Nordic Pavilion designed fifty years ago by the Pritzker Prize winning architect Sverre Fehn. Thirty-two architects born after 1962, the year the pavilion was designed – eleven from Finland and Sweden, and ten from Norway – have been invited to create a model of a conceptual “house” that reflects their personal philosophy of architecture.
