LOANS
The materials held in the general collection (marked A) can be loaned for 30 day. Loans can be renewed, also by phone or e-mail, unless there are reservations.
 
Currently there is no library card, but presentation of identity card is required. Personal data and address are collected in connection with the first loan. Changes of address must be notified.
 
Loaners are charged for eventual costs of return claims and address queries. Compensation is required for damaged and lost material. Negligence of obligations impedes further loans.

Change in library’s rules 1.1.2008

Dear Customers,
Library’s rules will change on 1.1.2008. After that date, a reminder of overdued loans are sent 7 days after the
due date. The overdue charge remain at 4 euros. Three reminders result in a restriction on borrowing. We remind you that overdue charges can be avoided by renewing loans before the due date!

PERIODICALS
Single issues are not loaned except for a small number of double copies. Over ten-year-old bound volumes are available for loan.

FENNICA AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS
Fennica materials (marked F) and those of special collections are not loaned, but they can be read in the library. For weekend study, it is adviseable to reserve material in advance.

Return claim charge: EUR 4,00 for each claim (sent at 14 days' intervals).

Charge for unreturned material (billed in connection with 4th claim): minimum EUR 50 per book.
