Zoom Webinar / What We Share: Community in the intersection of tradition and novelty

Location: Muualla

This webinar is held in English. Free of charge.

The 17th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia is open to the public in Venice from 22 May to 21 November 2021. The main theme of the biennale – How will we live together? – deals with how architects can create new communities.

This year the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Norway has the curatorial and organizational responsibility for the Nordic pavilion’s exhibition at the Nordic pavilion. Together with Helen & Hard they address the biennale’s main theme with a completely new project designed especially for the Nordic pavilion, addressing the question of what we are willing to share with others. Visit online exhibition >

In the seminar Community in the intersection of tradition and novelty the theme of How will we live together? is approached from the perspectives of modular and wooden architecture as well as community building for humans and non-humans. After the greetings from the curator Martin Braathen and Helen & Hard the evening continues with local case presentations by Livady Architects, Studio Puisto and meta architects that focus on ecological and sustainable solutions in architecture.

The seminar is the last part of a three-part Nordic Seminar series organised jointly by the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo, ArkDes in Stockholm and The Museum of Finnish Architecture in Helsinki. All three events will be streamed online.
