Aarno Ruusuvuori. Structure is the Key to Beauty

Aarno Ruusuvuori is the Finnish representative in the book series presenting one architect from each Nordic Country. The other books present Peter Celsing from Sweden, Sverre Fehn from Norway, Knud Holscher from Denmark and Høgna Sigurdardottir-Anspagh from Iceland. All their careers began in the 1950s or 1960s, and most of them had direct contacts to earlier Modernists. Nordic architecture has been seen to reflect commitment to practice, expertise in the qualities of materials and well-thought-out use of architectonic motifs, and the works of the architects of this book series are beautiful examples of such an approach. The book includes building presentations, writings by the architect and an interview.
